Who is Amy of Amy Quilts?
I'm just a regular person. A mom, a quilter, a quilting blogger...who began using rulers to guide my free motion quilting on my Janome sewing machine. I was quilting with rulers before it was cool. Ruler work on a domestic sewing machine just took off and things kind of snowballed.
Now, I'm still all the above (a wife to a pretty neat guy too) but I've also become a quilting instructor (on Craftsy too), janome dealer, quilt shop owner, YouTuber, and a really busy gal who doesn't quilt as much as I'd like to, but I'm blessed to be able to help others quilt and use their machines better to express their creativity.
AmyQuilts.com is hopefully the forever home of my online presence. Many people know me as Amy of Amy's Free Motion Quilting Adventures, later shortened to Amy's Quilting Adventures, but it was still such a long thing to say that even though I had plenty of practice saying it, I would botch it from time to time. It was a mouthful!
Look for AmyQuilts.com to be the single source of my blog, online shop, home to my best tutorials, and more. This transition may take a little bit, so if you've been following my adventures, now is a great time to change your bookmarks, RSS feed, or what have you to the new url of AmyQuilts.com.
When I became the owner of Sew Simple of Lynchburg, a Janome dealership in Lynchburg VA, I got a little scattered online. Facebook and Instagram may still be split between the bricks and mortar store and the rest of what I do online, but I'll be trying to make it easier to find my tips, tricks, projects, and products.
Thanks for following along on my quilting adventures here at AmyQuilts.com!
